Ableton Live is a digital audio workstation that is geared toward those who want to focus on music production. While Ableton Live is used more frequently for live performances, it also works well as a tool for composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering audio.
GarageBand is a digital audio workstation that comes pre-loaded on macOS. While GarageBand has pre-loaded instruments for music production, it is also a great option for voice-overs and podcast recording. GarageBand is a little more advanced than Audacity, as it is used for both audio and music production, but it is a great option for those who have a macOS system and do not want to download additional software.
Logic Pro X is a macOS-only software that is available for use in the Studio's Audio Suite. It is similar to GarageBand as it is primarily used for music production, but it provides the user with a larger amount of variety and control over their files. This software is recommended for those who have experience in music production and feel comfortable with multi-track mixing.
