Women's Studies Organizations
- National Women's Studies Organization (NWSA)Established in 1977, NWSA is a professional organization dedicated to leading the field of women's studies and gender studies, as well as its teaching, learning, research, and service wherever they be found.
- National Women's Organization (NOW)The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States. NOW has 500,000 contributing members and 550 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women.
- Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF)The Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF), which was founded in 1987, is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically.
- AAUWAAUW (formerly known as the American Association of University Women) is nationwide network of more than 100,000 members and donors, 1,000 branches, and 500 college/university institution partners. For more than 128 years, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political.
